My name is Kristy and I am the #MobMomma. I’m a mess with a mob of kids! I am finishing up my degree in Psychology with concentrations on trauma in child development and forensics. I have a passion for children and their families. I love what I do and I do what I love!! I have a wonderful husband who is also my best friend and I honestly would love to spend every single day with him. Together we have 4 biological and 1 adopted child and they drive us a little crazy, that’s just how we like it. We are campers/adventurers/mountain climbers/Disney movie quoters who walk to the beat of our own drum. We also foster and run a foster care ministry because we LOVE God and we love the people He loves. We care for the brokenhearted and we want to bring peace and healing and light to families that are falling apart. At any point we are a family of 9-10, so we are also really loud (just thought I should mention that).
You’ll find that I write a lot to women because, well, I’m a woman! My life has been anything but perfect. I won’t share details here because that’s just a bit TMI. I will say I understand great pain and loss. I understand anxiety, depression, and the dark struggles no one likes to talk about out loud for fear of judgment. I’m only here because God brought me back from the darkest places and that’s how I know that every single word I write is true. I know the influence women have on each other and moms have on their children. I feel the weight of the privilege and gift God has given us and I don’t take it lightly. I also believe God has given me the gift of writing to encourage and spur on other women to be the best mom, mentor, deaconess, teacher, wife, sister, warrior, ezer, etc that God has commissioned us all to be. Being a woman is a beautiful thing! So, I hope you will join me on this journey and enjoy every moment 💜
Fostering Reflections 
It is great to “meet” you! My mom has been a medical foster parent for over 30 years! I too am married to my best friend and together we have 7 kids ranging in age from 27 to 3. Our two youngest are both adopted and differently abled than most of the world. I am the oldest of my parents 30 kids and as you said, we are a very loud family when we are all together! I am finishing up my masters degree in Christian Ministry and like you know that God brought me back from the darkest place because He had a plan for my life that I am living out now. Thank you for allowing me to join you on your adventures!
